Just a quick note to reflect on what an incredible year it’s been for our community and the crypto space as a whole.

2024 was nothing short of transformative for all of us. I hope you all made big strides—not just in your portfolios but in every aspect of your lives.

Some highlights from this amazing year:

• Chalk Chain: I launched our weekly newsletter, Chalk Chain Weekly. I also launched in-depth Pro Reports and a YouTube channel, covering everything from foundational crypto education to advanced blockchain insights. The audience has grown steadily, and the feedback has been humbling.

• What is Crypto: Matt knocked it out of the park with an insane amount of YouTube content and hours in the trenches. His analysis, trades, and consistent form- helping our community stay ahead of trends and make smarter decisions. Some of his call have already made insane gains.

• Trading Wright: A fantastic new addition to the team, this man is a wizard on the charts and has been providing A-grade market analysis, trade calls, and setups for our community.

Together, we’ve become a really well-rounded team, contributing to significant growth and learning, and helping our community navigate one of the most volatile markets.

This year wasn’t without its challenges. There were opportunities missed and lessons learned, but that’s part of the journey. The key is staying adaptable, keeping our conviction, and moving forward in a space where resilience is everything.

As we head into 2025, let’s remember to block out the noise, focus on what really matters, and keep sharpening our edge.

1. Price Targets: BTC hits $220k, ETH hits $9k, and SOL touches $900.

2. Biggest Narrative: AI (specifically AI Agents).

3. Coinbase: Coinbase ($COIN) gets listed in the S&P 500 AND $COIN gets listed on-chain.

4. Market Tops: We get two market tops. The first in Apr/May, and the second in Nov/Dec.

5. Trump Laser Eyes: Trump adds laser eyes to his X profile picture

What is Crypto (Matt)

1. Price Targets: BTC $135-190k, ETH $7-12k, and SOL $650-1250.

2. Biggest Narrative: AI

3. AI Coin Listings: Multiple AI coins start getting listed on T1 exchanges from early 2025 Feb/March pumping AI coins HARD.

4. FBB4: Fbb4’s market influence continues to grow and YT channels start to cover fbb4.

5. 50x fbb4: One of the fbb4 coins we hold will pull a 50x for the discord 🚀

2025 and Beyond..

Hey legends! I am pretty much 100% in the market now. Yes we could go lower - we could go a lot lower short term but I am 95% confident the prices we see now will be so damn cheap looking back in 4 months time (even if we eat a 25% dip before then).

I’m not risking chasing a 25% better entry to miss out on a 500%+ gain. I do not think the cycle is over yet at all and I think the fireworks are just around the corner. Yes the dip might get lower but at the same time the dip could end at any second and we suddenly lose out last chance to get good entries on different projects as we were hoping for another 25% dip. - we will see multiple 5x's 10x's 20x's and hopefully a couple of 50x's 🙌

January has historically been a great quarter in an election year and not only do we have a bullish crypto president now but we have the January pump from people entering in Q1 after selling to harvest losses in December and rate cuts coming.

I think what we are about to see will be probably the last INSANE Crypto bull run we get in the next decade. I think the mainstream will be fully in crypto by the next cycle and although I still believe we will get a cycle next time around, next time I think it likely won’t be as parabolic as this run or 2017 / 2021.

The cycle will still be driven by elections, BTC halvings and the knowledge of the 4 year cycle (which will become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and repeat as people will believe in it and buy/sell accordingly). However, I don’t think what we see next cycle (in 4 years time) will be as crazy as this one!

Memecoins: The Billion-Dollar Play

Let’s tackle the billion-dollar question: Will there be another memecoin breakout in 2025? My answer is yes—I expect at least one, possibly two, memecoins to hit a $1B+ valuation next year.

While the low-cap Pump-and-Dump frenzy may be behind us, we believe cult-favorite memecoins with strong communities will continue to thrive. The essence of true memecoins lies in their community and memetics, not in groundbreaking tech or innovation. Memecoins thrive because they capture hearts, not just headlines.

Looking ahead, all of us are confident in our memecoin picks. However, we also anticipate that winners will emerge across other sectors, with funds rotating between memecoins and other opportunities, such as AI Agents. The key is to stay agile and ride the trends as they shift.

Community and culture will always be king in the world of memecoins. Watch this space.

Altcoins: A New Chapter

Throughout 2024, I was bearish on altcoins, focusing instead on majors and memecoins—a strategy that paid off well. But as the crypto landscape evolves, so must our outlook.

A crypto-friendly administration is breathing new life into utility coins. We're seeing signs of a sector rotation, with fresh projects adopting lessons from the memecoin playbook: fair launches, minimal VC involvement, and prioritizing retail investors.

Take Hyperliquid, for example, which avoided VC backing entirely, airdropping 31% to its community, leading to explosive growth. Similarly, AI-focused projects, like Based AI, are emphasizing fair launches and sniper-proof tokenomics, proving the trend is shifting toward community-first models.

That said, utility coin valuations are inherently tied to their utility, capping upside potential compared to the meme-driven hype cycles. Memecoins will likely remain the kings of outsized gains. But where there’s opportunity, we’re ready to adapt.

My 2025 thesis anticipates a rotational market, with DeFi, AI, Gaming, RWA, and memecoins taking turns in the spotlight. Unlike 2024, I’m turning bullish on utility coins and will keep a close eye on the opportunities they bring. Stay tuned for the plays that matter. 🚀

Macro Outlook: Navigating 2025

There are several key macro trends I’m closely monitoring as we head into 2025:

1. A Pro-Crypto President in Office
   Donald Trump, set to be inaugurated in January, has pledged to build a strategic Bitcoin reserve. While opinions are split on whether the U.S. will adopt Bitcoin at this scale, the mere discussions could be a game-changer. Prediction markets reflect a chance of this happening but remain inconclusive.

   Regardless of the outcome, these talks are likely to persist, influencing global policy. Other nations, such as Russia, Japan, and China, are already exploring crypto as a tool to bolster public support. Trump’s leadership may set the stage for broader international adoption.

2. FED Rate Cuts
   The Federal Reserve projects two rate cuts in 2025, down from the four initially anticipated. This adjustment seems to preempt Trump’s potentially inflationary policies, such as tariffs. However, if tariffs are more of a negotiating tool and less impactful than expected, we could see a surprise third rate cut, which would be bullish for markets.

3. Market Outlook
   Crypto markets have been on a bull run since November 2022, and while we may not be "early," the cycle hasn’t peaked yet. Based on historical patterns, 2025 is likely to see the top of the cycle, with the most probable window falling between March and August. However, there’s a chance of an elongated cycle extending the top into early 2026.

• Risk Management is Key: In even the most bullish environments, it’s vital to manage risks. Stick to spot trades unless you’re experienced with leverage.
